Will you be rushing out to the pub or out for a meal? Where will your first visit be?
Pubs and restaurants in England who can meet government coronavirus guidelines are due to re-open today, Saturday 4 July. It’s only natural that this is being met with different levels of nervousness and excitement for business owners, managers, staff and customers.
Personally, as a customer, I’m feeling nervous and anxious about visiting pubs and restaurants, but at the same time have this determination to support local businesses. So the answer for me is to do what I feel comfortable with and go where I feel comfortable. With this in mind, we have booked into one of our favourite restaurants – Memories in Northam.
I have written about this place a couple of times already, Memories is run by a husband and wife team with their daughter helping out now she is older too. The restaurant itself has a limited amount of covers and the food is always exceptional. So I’m happy going here because the food and service are fab, the number of people in the restaurant are limited so I won’t feel anxious, I know B and N will do everything to the guidelines if not above and beyond so I’ll feel safe and… it’s within walking distance so we can both have a drink.
So with pubs and restaurants opening where will your first safe and happy visit be?
