pies, pies, pies

Pieminister Pie Ever fancy a pie for dinner that tastes homemade but pastry making isn’t your thing? Well you need to try a Pieminister Pie, they have a huge range from meat to fish, traditional to unique and vegetarian options. I have now sampled a few and they are delicious…

I enjoyed my first Pieminister pie back in October, a Moo Pie british beef steak, real ale, fresh herbs and rich gravy. Closely followed by a Chicken of Aragon Pie -free range british chicken, smoky bacon, roast garlic, vermouth and fresh tarragon.

Neither skimmed on the fillings or flavour – the usual problem when buying ready-made pies.

Last Wednesday we had the Pietanic pie – MSC approved smoked haddock, salmon & pollock in a parsley sauce with cheddar crumb pastry. And again mouth-wateringly good. I served with potato wedges and stir-fried cabbage.

They are SO delicious and to be honest there’s not a lot more I can say other than make sure you try yourself a Pieminister Pie, and when you have don’t forget to let me know what you think.

PS Right now you can even win yourself a Farm & Cottage Holiday.

  1. And it all started in Bristol! 🙂 The original Pieminister shop is on Cheltenham Road – we’ve been eating them for a few years now. V. easy to get hold of them in local pubs/ restaurants in Bristol. Mmm, you’re making me want pie…
