And finally another of my food highlights from last weekend, a superb dinner at friends with a delicious homemade cheesecake served with raspberries and clotted cream – yum my favourite, it tasted as good as it looked!

Saturday night we went to our neighbours, 2 miles away, for dinner. It was obviously really great  to catch up with good friends, sharing our love of New Zealand with some lovely Sauvignon Blanc, oh and I nearly forgot (only joking!) the lovely bubbles to start the evening.

We had a lovely indian meal with homemade chicken curry, it was lovely to try someone else’s curry recipe and it was really tasty and the chicken moist and full of flavour.

But the highlight was definitely the homemade cheesecake, one of my favourite desserts following a meal where you may have eaten a little too much! It’s light and somehow cleanses the palate. And this cheesecake was just divine, beautifully served with raspberries and clotted cream. I think the photo says it all!

So now we’re already looking forward to our next evening together and the promise of homemade chinese food – can’t wait x
